What a Day!
Today was a busy day at EPE! We had Fairy Tale Dress-Up Day, our March assembly and pep rally, a 5A field trip to the arena, and our After School Athletics basketball tournament.
Our assembly included our School-Wide Bucket-Filling Challenge, a Grade 5/6 Performing Arts Presentation, Dare to Care Skits, our Top 10 AR Readers from Term 2, and our Top Tiger Presentation.
We ended our assembly with a pep rally to congratulate our U11 players on their big banner win and to wish our U13 players good luck in their upcoming weekend of hosting provincials. We are so proud of all of the players!
This afternoon, Mrs. Krankowsky and her 5A class took a field trip to the arena, where they learned how the ice plant uses electricity. Brian also explained how humidity affects the ice quality and how he is able to correct it. The students got a full tour of the arena and a bit of a history lesson too! Thank you, Brian, for taking the time to help our students to connect their learning to the real world.
Lastly, our After School Athletics participants ended the day with their basketball tournament. All of the athletes played hard and demonstrated excellent teamwork. Congratulations to the Pink Pretty Princesses for winning the tournament, and for practicing their alliteration.
Thank you to all of the families who joined us today!
