Grade 3 What Makes a Fair Test?
As an introductory activity to Mrs. Lefebvre's Grade 3 Testing Materials and Building Things unit, students had the opportunity to make a hypothesis to the question, what makes a fair test?
Students were given a bulleted list to copy from the smartboard. They were asked to copy the list using one of the following means: non-dominant hand, dominant hand, crook of their elbow, mouth, and varying sizes of pencils.
This led to an interesting discussion about fair tests and what makes a test fair.
