School Playgrounds Closed Effective March 30, 2020 March 27, 2020 In cooperation with our local municipalities, all St. Paul Education Playgrounds will be closed, effective Monday, March 30, 2020. Evidence provided by health officials indicates that the COVID-19 virus can remain on wood, metal and hard plastic surfaces for extended periods. Closing playgrounds also helps to promote appropriate social and physical distancing. This closure is in line with actions taken by many municipalities in our area. As St. Paul Education will not be monitoring our playgrounds, we ask for your cooperation in this matter.
Kindergarten - Grade 11 Letter/Communication St. Paul Education’s top priority continues to be student, staff, and community safety in this unique global situation. We want to sincerely thank you for your continued patience as we make our way forward. In collaboration with all division schools and central office staff, we have developed strategies to deliver educational services to all of our students during this interruption to normal educational practices. March 16, 2020 - 7:00 PM As you may be aware, the Province of Alberta has closed all K-12 schools as part of aggressive measures to ensure public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, all St. Paul Education schools are closed to students and buses are not operating. This is a rapidly evolving situation and we know school families have many questions. St. Paul Education is working diligently with Alberta Education, Alberta Health Services and other agencies, and we are committed to maintaining communication with school families as issues are addressed. March 15, 2020 Important COVID-19 Update Please be notified that today at 4:30 PM, Premier Jason Kenney announced that all K-12 schools in the Province of Alberta are indefinitely closed. No school for all St. Paul Education students starting tomorrow, March 16, 2020 Preparation on how to best deliver learning to our students will begin immediately and parents can expect more information tomorrow.
